
Kate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. She then went on to receive her Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University- Chicago.
Kate has experience in various settings such as a behavioral health hospital at the inpatient level of care. As well as in both partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Kate specializes in working with adolescents and adults. Her interests lie in substance use disorders, anxiety, mood issues and depression, among others. Kate often uses evidenced-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Client Centered approaches while working with individuals and families to support their personal needs.
Kate values the importance of building a strong and trustworthy client centered therapeutic relationship.
