
Minh Huynh is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He completed his undergraduate studies at University at Illinois at Chicago, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. In 2022, he went on to complete his Master of Science (M.S.) for Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.
For his internship, Minh worked with adolescents and their families at a partial hospitalization program (PHP), focusing on treating mood disorders. He then went on to accept a position as a therapist for the PHP, using evidence-based approaches such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to treat depression, anxiety, suicide and self-injurious behavior, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and school avoidant behavior. While working as a therapist at the PHP, Minh was also employed as a crisis worker for the emergency department (ED). During his time in the ED, Minh provided psychological evaluations for individuals with psychological complaints ranging from depression and anxiety, to schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. Minh provided assessments to all ages and backgrounds, working intensively with outpatient providers and families to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
Minh is now bringing his experiences to work with individuals, couples, and families at Lighthouse Emotional Wellness Center. His hope is to provide quality services to clients by using empathy, education, and compassion.
